Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer has been voted the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September 2024.
Palmer dominated the Premier League last month, leading in both goals and goal involvement. He scored five times and provided an assist in just four appearances.
Remarkably, four of those goals came in a stunning 21-minute display against Brighton & Hove Albion, making him the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in the first half of a match.
In addition, Palmer contributed an assist in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and netted a goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over West Ham United.
This is Palmer’s second time winning the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award, having previously claimed it in April 2024. With two of the last three awards under his belt, Palmer trails only Frank Lampard, who has won the award four times for Chelsea.
The 22-year-old topped a shortlist of eight players, including Harvey Barnes (Newcastle), Luis Diaz (Liverpool), Gabriel (Arsenal), Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool), Raul Jimenez (Fulham), Dwight McNeil (Everton), and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa). The final decision was based on a combination of public votes from the EA SPORTS website and the opinions of a panel of football experts.
