Primate Elijah Ayodele, the renowned prophet and founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to avoid transferring to Chelsea. According to Ayodele, Osimhen would not thrive and could potentially harm his career if he joins the London club.
In a 44-second video shared on social media, Ayodele stated, “I want to quickly advise that Osimhen should not go to Chelsea. If he goes there, he will not shine, and it will kill his career.” He further suggested that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) reconsider calling Osimhen to the national team, saying, “If Osimhen should go to Chelsea, don’t call him again. Also, calling him to the Super Eagles needs to be previewed properly because we have what it takes for the World Cup and Nations Cup.”
This isn’t the first time the primate has issued a prophecy concerning the London club. In 2023, he asserted that Chelsea was cursed and in need of spiritual cleansing. He remarked, “Chelsea is a finished club. If they are not careful, they will not function again. The people who bought Chelsea should go back to the owner and get his blessings. Otherwise, if they put 10, 20 strikers, defenders, and the best goalkeeper in the world, there is a curse troubling Chelsea at the moment. I have told you to take these words very seriously if you want to progress; otherwise, Chelsea can go to relegation.”
Ayodele continued, “Any team that now faces Chelsea can beat them; they need spiritual cleansing to wake up to the challenges ahead.”
Chelsea is currently searching for a reliable striker to guarantee goals, especially after a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Samuel Omorodion fell through. Victor Osimhen, at 25 years old, has become a top target for the Blues and is highly sought after across Europe, linked to clubs like Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool. However, his significant price tag of €130 million has deterred other potential buyers, with PSG among those pulling back, leaving Chelsea as the only major European club still interested.
With just a few weeks remaining before the transfer window closes, Napoli is eager to resolve Osimhen’s future. As Chelsea remains interested, a move to Stamford Bridge seems increasingly likely for the Nigerian striker.
