Brighton & Hove Albion secured their first Premier League victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.
Erling Haaland gave City the lead in the 33rd minute, but James Milner equalised for Brighton from the penalty spot in the 67th minute. Substitute Brajan Gruda then sealed the comeback with an 89th-minute strike.
The victory ended Brighton’s shaky start, after a draw and a defeat in their opening two games, and lifted them to 10th place on four points.
Manchester City, who lost 2-0 to Tottenham last weekend, slumped to their second straight defeat and dropped to 12th with three points from three matches.
While Pep Guardiola’s side face mounting pressure to bounce back, Brighton will be aiming to build on the confidence from their late win.
