Former NBA player Lamar Odom has been arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to reports.
Odom was stopped by police in the early hours of Saturday morning and later booked for DUI. Authorities said the case is still under investigation. He was also cited for two traffic offences, including driving more than 41 miles per hour over the speed limit and failing to maintain his lane.
At the time of publication, Odom was reportedly still in custody.
The former basketball star has previously spoken openly about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. He was arrested for DUI in 2013 and, in 2015, nearly died following a drug overdose. His then-wife, Khloé Kardashian, supported him during his recovery, but their relationship ended after he relapsed in 2016.
Odom enjoyed a 14-year NBA career, playing for four different teams. In recent years, he has become an advocate for sobriety and has supported others facing addiction, including Bam Margera, through rehabilitation centres he operates.
