King Charles III to Reduce Cancer Treatment in New Year Following Early Diagnosis

by Admin

King Charles III announced on Friday that his cancer treatment will be reduced in the new year, attributing the positive development to early diagnosis, effective medical intervention, and adherence to his doctors’ guidance.

The monarch, diagnosed last February with an unspecified form of cancer, shared the update during a televised broadcast as part of Britain’s national cancer awareness campaign, according to CBS.

“I am able to share with you the good news that, thanks to early diagnosis, effective intervention, and adherence to doctors’ orders, my own schedule of cancer treatment can be reduced in the new year,” the King said.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the cancer was discovered following treatment for an enlarged prostate. The statement also noted that the King had commenced a schedule of regular treatments and temporarily postponed public-facing duties, though he continues with his official business and office work as usual.

“The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible,” the palace said.

It added that King Charles III chose to share his diagnosis publicly to prevent speculation and to help raise awareness for those around the world affected by cancer.
