Real Madrid’s away match at Valencia in La Liga this weekend has been postponed by the Spanish Football Federation due to deadly floods that have claimed over 95 lives. Villarreal’s home game against Rayo Vallecano is also suspended after flash floods hit eastern Spain.
La Liga requested the postponement of Valencia and Villarreal’s Saturday matches, as well as three second-division games in affected areas.
In a statement, the federation said matches across various competitions, including indoor football, will be postponed in the Valencia region. Midweek Copa del Rey matches, like Valencia vs. Parla Escuela, were also delayed.
A moment of silence for flood victims will be held at games in Spain this weekend, including Barcelona’s Catalan derby with Espanyol on Sunday.
