French forward Christopher Nkunku has sealed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Italian giants AC Milan, ending his two-year spell at Stamford Bridge.
The 27-year-old joined the Blues from RB Leipzig in June 2023 with big expectations but endured a tough debut season plagued by injuries, limiting him to just 14 appearances and three goals.
Nkunku bounced back in his second campaign, making 48 appearances across all competitions and scoring 15 goals — five of which came during Chelsea’s victorious UEFA Conference League run, crowned with the final win in Wroclaw. His last goal for the club came in the Club World Cup Round of 16 against Benfica.
In total, he scored 18 goals in 62 games for Chelsea. Announcing his departure, the club said: “We thank Christo for his efforts throughout his time at the club and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career.”
Nkunku now joins Milan as they bolster their attack for the Serie A title race and another Champions League push, hoping to rediscover the explosive form that once made him one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards.
