Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has reportedly lost his mother, Mrs Sarah Chukwueze.
While Samuel has not publicly confirmed the news, his brother, David Chukwueze, shared the heartbreaking update through emotional Instagram posts, paying tribute to their late mother and expressing the family’s grief.
In one post, David wrote, “Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum.”
In another, he said, “My forever love just left me without saying goodbye,” adding that she never got the chance to carry her grandchild.
Details surrounding her illness have not been disclosed.
Chukwueze, who recently featured for the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where Nigeria finished third, has yet to issue a statement.
The loss comes just two days after Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi also suffered a bereavement, following the death of his father, Sunday Ndidi, in a road accident in Delta State.
