Rome gang rape arrest has drawn international attention after Italian police arrested two Nigerians and three other African migrants over the alleged abduction and assault of a Colombian tourist in Rome. The Rome gang rape arrest case has sparked major concern as investigations continue into the shocking incident reported in the Italian capital.

According to reports, the victim, a 32-year-old Colombian woman, was allegedly approached outside a restaurant in Rome on May 19 by a man who offered to sell her hashish. She was then reportedly lured into a vehicle and taken to an abandoned building located on the eastern outskirts of the city.

Authorities allege that she was held captive for approximately 72 hours, during which she was repeatedly raped, drugged, and threatened by multiple suspects. Police say the victim eventually managed to escape from the building and was later discovered half-naked on a roadside by a passerby, who immediately contacted emergency services.

Following the report, law enforcement officers carried out a raid on the abandoned property, leading to the arrest of five suspects. Those arrested include Saidykhan Lamin and Karamba Kanteh, both Gambian nationals, along with Harouna Traore from Mali, and two Nigerians identified as Isibor Wisdom and Paul Nwabueze. Authorities confirmed that all suspects are currently in custody facing charges of gang rape aggravated by the victim’s vulnerable condition.

Investigators also revealed that efforts are ongoing to track down additional individuals believed to have been involved, including the driver of the vehicle and the person who initially lured the victim from the restaurant.
