…Says Tobi Has Always Shown Passion and Commitment

…Ruling reinforces belief in her integrity and dedication to fair play

The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, expressed immense joy and relief on behalf of all sports-loving Nigerians following the clearance of Oluwatobiloba Amusan by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Senator stated that the ruling comes as a significant boost to Nigeria’s hopes for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.

“To see Oluwatobiloba Amusan cleared by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) gives all sports-loving Nigerians immense joy,” stated Senator Enoh. “We anticipate a sound representation at the Paris Olympics 2024. Tobi has consistently shown her commitment and passion on the track, and this news is incredibly exciting for all of Team Nigeria.”

Tobi Amusan, Nigeria’s star hurdler, faced a whereabouts rule violation charge filed by the World Athletics and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). However, CAS has dismissed the charges, affirming that Amusan did not violate Rule 2.4 of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules (WA ADR).

The ruling stated: “Accordingly, the Challenged Decision in which the WADT considered that Tobi Amusan did not violate Rule 2.4 of the WA Anti-Doping Rules (WA ADR) and that no period of ineligibility should be imposed on the Athlete is confirmed.”

This decision ensures that Tobi Amusan can continue her preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympics without any restrictions, much to the delight of her fans and supporters. Her dedication and talent have been a source of inspiration, and her clearance is seen as a victory for clean sport and justice.

“We are thrilled for Tobi and confident in her ability to make Nigeria proud at the Paris Olympics,” added Senator Enoh.

“This ruling reinforces our belief in her integrity and dedication. We look forward to witnessing her outstanding performance on the global stage.”
