Victor Osimhen’s highly anticipated transfer to Chelsea fell through just hours before the summer transfer window closed. The Nigerian forward and the Premier League club couldn’t reach an agreement, leaving his future uncertain.
With only two hours left before the deadline, the Chelsea deal collapsed, ending hopes of seeing Osimhen in a blue jersey this season. Additionally, his move to Saudi Arabia also fell apart, as Al Ahli chose to sign Brentford’s Ivan Toney on deadline day.
The failed Chelsea transfer has reportedly strained Osimhen’s relationship with his current club, Napoli. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, if no new bids come in before the Saudi Pro League’s transfer window closes, Osimhen may be sidelined from Napoli’s first-team squad.
