Adesanya bets $10,000 on Joshua to win against Dubois.

by Admin

Nigerian-born UFC star Israel Adesanya has placed a $10,000 bet on two-time former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in his IBF heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois.

The fight is set for September 21, 2024, at Wembley Stadium in England.

This highly anticipated all-British showdown will see 96,000 fans pack the stadium, creating an electric atmosphere. While Joshua is familiar with the venue, this will be Dubois’ first time fighting at England’s national stadium, adding to the pressure on him and his team, led by trainer Don Charles.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Adesanya shared a picture of his bet, placed on September 17, 2024, with the caption, “Dubois, Daniel – Joshua, Anthony.”

“ÒGÚN‼ This fight’s got beef…grab the #stake sauce,” read Adesanya’s post.

Adesanya’s bet revealed he picked Joshua to win between the 10th and 12th rounds, with an estimated payout of $50,000.

Meanwhile, Dubois boldly declared his intention to knock out Joshua.

The 26-year-old Brit, who calls himself “The Good Destroyer,” is confident he can hand Joshua only the second knockout defeat of his professional career.

“I aim to knock him out. That’s the plan. That’s the mindset, and that’s the goal coming into this fight,” Dubois told Sky Sports.

“I’m dedicating my whole life to destroying him and being a good destroyer, a true conqueror. Don’t wait—just go out there and smash him.”

Joshua, 33, enters the fight on the back of four consecutive wins, including a knockout victory over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
