The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially conducted the group stage draw for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League, placing Nigeria’s Rivers United in Group A.
Rivers United will compete against defending champions Pyramids FC of Egypt, Moroccan powerhouse RS Berkane, and Zambia’s Power Dynamos.
Record 12-time champions Al Ahly of Egypt headline Group B, where they will face Tanzania’s Young Africans, Moroccan champions AS FAR, and two-time African champions JS Kabylie of Algeria.
In Group C, South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns are set to battle Sudan’s Al Hilal, Algeria’s MC Alger, and DR Congo’s St Éloi Lupopo.
The Group Stage is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of November 21–23, with two matchdays to take place before the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
Following a short pause for the continental tournament, the competition will resume on the weekend of January 23–25, 2026. The knockout rounds are expected to begin on March 13, 2026.
The champions of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League will walk away with $4 million in prize money, while the runners-up will receive $2 million.
