The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
This announcement was made on Monday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in an official statement.
Tunji-Ojo congratulated all Muslims in Nigeria and the Diaspora, urging the Ummah to uphold the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
He also encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity across the nation.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to people-focused reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at setting Nigeria back on the path of progress.
Wishing Muslims a joyful Eid-ul-Adha, he called on all citizens to support the administration’s efforts to restore Nigeria’s greatness.
