Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has expressed confidence that he can continue playing professional football into his 40s.
The Egyptian star recently extended his contract with Liverpool, keeping him at Anfield until 2027. Despite the long-term deal, Salah dismissed the idea that this would be his final contract.
“I will stop playing when I feel it’s time,” he told On Sports. “If you ask me, I think I can play until I’m 39 or 40. But if I feel earlier that I should stop, I will. I’ve already achieved a lot in my career.”
Salah also revealed that he had considered a move to Saudi Arabia before committing to Liverpool.
“My contract was up at Liverpool, and I could have gone to Saudi,” he said. “But we finalised the deal with Liverpool. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m happy here and staying for the next two years. After that, I’ll see what comes next.”
