Nigerian-born heavyweight Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh has openly challenged former unified world champion Anthony Joshua, proposing the fight take place in Nigeria.
Ibeh — unbeaten in 11 fights since a 2021 loss to Jared Anderson — most recently recorded a three-round knockout of former world-title contender Gerald Washington.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Ibeh said Joshua would be the perfect opponent to make a statement. “We need the right platform and the right opponent to make a statement with, and there’d be no better one than AJ,” he said. “That would definitely be a dream come true. That would be amazing.”
“It doesn’t matter where it is — I’m ready. Anywhere, even in Nigeria. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the UK; I would love to dance with him at the O2 Arena.
“I would definitely stop him, no questions about that — it’s just a matter of how soon.”
