The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the official Team of the Tournament for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, following Senegal’s 1–0 extra-time victory over hosts Morocco in the final on January 18.
The Best XI recognises the standout performers of the competition, with champions Senegal and runners-up Morocco dominating the selection, while Nigeria also earned notable representation.
In a statement published on its website on Wednesday, CAF explained that the team was selected based on consistency, impact, and overall excellence across all positions. The selection was carried out by the CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) using a detailed evaluation process that combined live data analysis, multi-angle video feeds, and on-site technical assessments.
