Osimhen to Decide Future in May — Fabrizio Romano

by Admin

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will begin weighing up his next move in May, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, the Nigerian international is expected to be on the move this summer, with several top European clubs monitoring his situation closely.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said Osimhen is unlikely to stay at either Galatasaray or Napoli beyond this season.

“The reality is that Victor Osimhen is fully expected to leave Galatasaray to return to Napoli and then leave Napoli,” Romano explained. “He’s going to start assessing his options from next week—so in May. There are opportunities for him in multiple countries.”

Osimhen has enjoyed a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray, netting 29 goals in 33 matches since arriving last summer.

Romano also noted that Napoli are eager to sort out the striker’s future quickly to avoid another drawn-out transfer saga.

“Napoli want to sell the player as soon as possible,” he added. “They want to settle things in June and avoid dragging this out through the summer. The goal is for him to join a new club and settle in smoothly.”

The Premier League seems to be Osimhen’s preferred destination, with clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United reportedly interested. Romano revealed that both Chelsea and United have been told Osimhen is open to joining them even without Champions League football.

In Spain, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs. Spanish outlet Diario AS reports that Barcelona view Osimhen as a possible successor to Robert Lewandowski, while Madrid may consider him if Vinicius Junior moves to Saudi Arabia in what could be a record-breaking transfer.

Napoli are reportedly ready to part ways with Osimhen for around €72 million (£62 million)—a price lower than his £64 million release clause—as relations between the player and the club’s board have soured significantly.
