Bradley Barcola struck twice as Paris Saint-Germain beat Lens 2-0 in Ligue 1 on Sunday, while Ethan Mbappé netted a dramatic stoppage-time winner to hand Lille victory.
The win lifted PSG back to the top of the table with four wins from four, but it came at a cost as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Lee Kang-in and Lucas Beraldo all went off injured, adding to a growing list of absentees that already includes Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué.
Barcola opened the scoring with a curling strike in the 15th minute before doubling the lead shortly after half-time with a powerful finish from distance.
Earlier in the day, 18-year-old Ethan Mbappé scored his first Ligue 1 goal, volleying home deep into added time to seal a 2-1 comeback win for Lille against Toulouse. Nabil Bentaleb’s injury-time penalty had drawn them level before Mbappé converted Osame Sahraoui’s cross for a dramatic finish.
The victory briefly sent Lille top of the table on 10 points before PSG reclaimed first place. Lyon, also unbeaten, have the chance to move ahead if they beat Rennes.
Elsewhere, Joaquin Panichelli’s last-gasp penalty gave Strasbourg a 1-0 win over Le Havre, Paris FC edged Brest 2-1, and Metz shared a 1-1 draw with Angers.
