Real Madrid ‘considering LaLiga exit amid Jude Bellingham red card controversy’

by Admin

Real Madrid are reportedly considering leaving LaLiga amid ongoing frustrations over refereeing standards following Jude Bellingham’s recent red card.

The England midfielder was sent off during their draw with Osasuna after referee José Luis Munuera Montero accused him of using foul and abusive language. According to the official, Bellingham shouted “f*** you” in his direction, but the 21-year-old insists he actually said “f*** off” in frustration at himself rather than at the referee.

Spanish outlet Sport claims Los Blancos are now exploring the possibility of joining another European league, with Serie A, Ligue 1, or the Bundesliga among the potential options. However, such a move would require approval from FIFA, UEFA, and the league they seek to join.

Madrid’s global brand and high-level football could make them an attractive addition to any league, but their frustration with officiating in Spain continues to grow. The club had already lodged a complaint against the Royal Spanish Football Federation earlier this month over what they described as “serious refereeing behaviour.”
