Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja has denied issuing a viral medical report alleging that actress Regina Daniels is battling severe substance abuse.
The circulating document claimed that Daniels had been diagnosed with a substance use disorder and placed on a home-based detox programme beginning September 24, 2025. It was purportedly signed by the hospital’s Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina.
However, in a statement released on Thursday, the hospital dismissed the report, insisting it did not originate from them.
“Our attention has been drawn to an alleged mid-term home detox report being circulated online in the name of Serenity Royale Hospital with respect to Nwoko Regina. We wish to state clearly that the publication and circulation of the said post containing classified information did not emanate from us, and we respectfully request the public to disregard it,” the disclaimer read.
This comes amid a renewed family dispute after one of Ned Nwoko’s wives, Laila Charani, accused Daniels on Instagram of introducing her to drugs and alcohol—claiming the behaviour nearly destroyed her marriage six years ago. Charani urged Daniels to continue rehabilitation while stressing Nwoko’s firm stance against substance use.
“You also know that my husband completely hates alcohol, drugs, and smoking. He has always been clear that he would never accept any wife who drinks, smokes, or uses drugs. The only reason you are fighting my husband is because he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction. It has always been a serious matter for him. My husband’s quick insistence on intervention rescued me from that dark path,” she said.
Before the dispute resurfaced, Charani had been focused on family life, sharing photos and videos of outings with Nwoko, including a vacation clip captioned: “Too busy building my peace, life, and family, no time for anything else.”
Meanwhile, Daniels continued to address her estranged husband online, stating, “My ex-man never slept outside for one day in our seven years of marriage because, as a Delta babe, I held him well in the other room.”
