Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has warned African-Americans against relocating to Africa following Donald Trump’s electoral victory in the United States.
Speaking on the Big Homies House podcast, Davido advised those considering moving to Africa to reconsider, pointing out that the situation in many African countries isn’t ideal. He highlighted that the economies across the continent are struggling.
“It’s not cool back home. The economy now is in shambles,” he said.
The singer clarified that his comments were not meant to discredit Africa but to highlight the reality. He emphasized that his music aims to promote the continent and noted that entertainment is helping to present a more positive image of Africa.
