Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Josephine Ijeoma Otabor, aka Phyna, has publicly disowned her family and announced her decision to drop her surname, Otabor.
She made this revelation via her verified X handle on Thursday night, sharing that she has been going through difficult times recently. Phyna expressed that her family has never been supportive of her since childhood.
She wrote, “I am publicly dropping my family surname Otabor… It has been proven that I actually have no family and nobody knows how I came about… I’m still searching for answers though.
“It’s been rough with me lately… I’m in a place where I can’t even describe how I feel or what to call what I’m going through rn. Growing up and being tossed around by relatives, I should have suspected, but I guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!”
A few months ago, Phyna’s father, Mr. Otabor, publicly criticized her for not assisting him and the family since gaining fame.
