Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his confidence in Kylian Mbappé’s ability to succeed despite a challenging start at the club.
In a statement shared via Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Friday, Ancelotti emphasised his belief in the forward’s potential, noting that Mbappé has everything needed to thrive at Real Madrid.
“We are all with Mbappé. He has to endure the moment, fight, and sacrifice himself. Sooner or later, it will pass,” Ancelotti said. He added, “What encourages me is that in the last two games, his intensity has improved. While he’s not showing his best form yet, he knows it.”
Mbappé, 25, has faced criticism after missing his second penalty in less than two weeks, leading some to label his recent displays as disappointing.
Real Madrid will host Girona on Saturday, aiming to recover from their midweek loss to Athletic Bilbao. The team currently sits four points behind Barcelona, with a game in hand.
