Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to a potential exhibition fight in 2026, promoter CSI Sports announced on Thursday.
While no official date or venue has been set, CSI revealed that the showdown between the heavyweight legend Tyson and the undefeated multi-weight champion Mayweather is targeted for Spring 2026.
Tyson, 59, retired with a record of 50 wins (44 by knockout) and 7 losses, earning a reputation as the most feared heavyweight of his era. He last stepped into the ring in November 2024, when he suffered a one-sided defeat to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Arlington, Texas. Despite the loss, the event drew about 70,000 fans in attendance and millions more watching worldwide.
Mayweather, 48, retired in 2017 with an unblemished record of 50-0, capturing world titles across five weight divisions. Since then, he has participated in several exhibition matches, most recently defeating John Gotti III in Mexico in August 2024.
“When CSI came to me about stepping in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, I thought, ‘No way this happens,’” Tyson said in a statement. “But Floyd said yes. This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought could happen. Boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable, and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets.”
