Diaspora Glitz Magazine will debut a new football tournament next summer in a bid to enhance diversity among people of foreign backgrounds.
The new football tournament will have the six continents of the world participate in the summer tournament. Each of the continent will have a team that will be made up of good players.
The Editor-in-Chief, Obi-West Utchaychukwu, while addressing large number of immigrants at the just concluded Helsinki African Cup where Sierra Leone won the football tournament for the second time in a row, he said ” The tournament will be competitive because the Finns are going to participate. The bulk of the players for the European team may come from Finland.
According to him, the tournament will be played either in Helsinki or in Vantaa where the magazine is based.
A coach with FIFA license will handle the African team, to be assisted by someone from another country. The selection of the players will be on merit, no favouritism and sentiment, he said
