Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, responded after his colleague Portable called him out for allegedly giving him ‘bad advice’ during their recent dinner in the United States.
Portable lamented that Davido, who signed with Sony Music, advised him against joining the label and instead urged him to sign with Empire. The ‘Zazu’ crooner alleged foul play, claiming he also aspires for a Grammy like Davido and questioned why the DMW boss suggested a label that might not influence his chances.
In response, Davido unfollowed Portable on Instagram. A check on their respective accounts on Thursday evening confirmed this action by the DMW boss.
Earlier, Portable had raised concerns about people trying to create rifts between him and Davido, stating that despite pressure, he refused to engage in conflict as Davido had supported him in the past.
