JJC Skillz: Don Jazzy and D’banj Betrayed Me

Nigerian singer and producer Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, has accused fellow music stars Don Jazzy and D’banj of conspiring with others to betray him years ago.

Speaking in a recent interview on *Echo Room*, JJC claimed that the duo turned against him despite the support he gave them during their early struggles in the United Kingdom. He said he accommodated, fed, and clothed them when they were still upcoming artists.

“Don Jazzy, D’banj, Ayo, DJ Abass — all of them conspired against me,” JJC said. “Taz introduced Don Jazzy to me, while Ayo came through Abass. I met them at the time because they were running a TV station.”

According to JJC, he approached them seeking help to reconnect with the Nigerian music industry.

“I told them, ‘You guys are well connected to Nigeria. I just need someone to introduce me to the right people to work with back home,’ and they agreed,” he said, adding that they later connected him to Bankulli.

JJC explained that Don Jazzy and D’banj were working under him at the time and were expected to support his plans. However, he later heard from rapper Ruggedman that D’banj had accused him of cheating them during their time together in the UK and that they had decided to leave his group.

“I was shocked,” he said. “Nobody knew them then. I was the one taking them to shows, accommodating them, feeding them, and clothing them. So how could I be cheating when no money had even been made?”

As of the time of this report, Don Jazzy, D’banj, and the others mentioned have yet to respond to JJC Skillz’s allegations.
