Joshua’s career earnings reach $200 million.

by Admin

Anthony Joshua has surpassed the $200 million mark in career earnings, cementing his place as one of boxing’s highest-paid athletes. He has now out-earned heavyweight rival Tyson Fury and rising star Gervonta Davis.

In 2024 alone, the former two-time heavyweight champion earned $75 million from his bouts, making him the second-highest earner of the year, behind only Canelo Alvarez. While Alvarez matched Joshua’s fight purse, he outpaced him by $2 million in off-field earnings.

At 36, Fury earned $50 million in 2024, bringing his career total to $150 million—far behind Joshua’s impressive earnings. Meanwhile, Davis, 30, has amassed $50 million since his pro debut, with nearly $20 million coming from recent matches with Ryan Garcia and Frank Martin. Garcia, too, has become a pay-per-view star, raking in over $40 million in career earnings.

Joshua’s financial ascent began notably with his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. in Saudi Arabia, where he earned $65 million. His subsequent fights with Oleksandr Usyk brought in over $40 million from the first two encounters. His high-profile clash with Francis Ngannou last year added another $50 million to his total. Joshua has also earned $12 million each from his bouts with Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius, as well as from six major events at Wembley and the Principality Stadium.

Currently recovering from injuries sustained in his recent loss to Daniel Dubois, the 35-year-old Joshua is eyeing a potential fight with Fury. He is waiting for the outcome of Usyk vs. Fury 2 before making his next move. With one remaining fight on his Riyadh Season contract, Joshua could be offered a lucrative all-British showdown, should the fight materialize, with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh expected to play a key role.

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has confirmed that the boxer won’t return to the ring until at least May 2024, ruling out an immediate rematch with IBF world heavyweight champion Dubois. “We’ve got one last chapter in this career that we need to make sure we get 100% spot on,” Hearn told Boxing News. “When he comes back in May or June, or whenever that’s going to be, he has to be physically and mentally 100% ready.”
