Liverpool and Manchester City are both keen on signing Nigerian defender Ola Aina as his contract with Nottingham Forest nears its end. Despite the club’s efforts to secure an extension, the 28-year-old has yet to commit to a new deal.
Aina has been a standout performer for Forest this season, recently making his 50th Premier League appearance in a match against Manchester City.
Liverpool are eyeing him as a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, while City see him as a successor to Kyle Walker, who is expected to join AC Milan permanently this summer.
Aina originally joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer two years ago under Nuno Espírito Santo.
