A Paris court on Thursday sentenced Mathias Pogba, the brother of France midfielder Paul Pogba, to three years in prison, with two years suspended, in a high-profile extortion case.
Mathias Pogba will serve his one-year sentence under electronic monitoring instead of in prison. The court also fined him 20,000 euros for his involvement in attempting to extort 13 million euros ($13.5 million) from Paul Pogba in 2022. He was found guilty of pressuring the footballer, his family, and his business associates to secure the payment.
