My wife funds me; I don’t take a salary from the church – Pastor Tobi Adegboyega

by Admin

Flamboyant Nigerian pastor based in the UK, Tobi Adegboyega, has revealed that his partner, Mary Olubukola Alade, funds his lifestyle. Mary, who works for AON, reportedly earns £100,000 annually.

The founder of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation) disclosed to judges Bruce and Rastogi that he does not receive a salary from the church, relying entirely on his partner’s financial support.

Adegboyega has faced a legal battle with UK Immigration, which ended in a tribunal ordering his deportation to Nigeria. The court noted that he arrived in the UK on a visitor visa in 2005 and overstayed after it expired. He sought to remain in the UK on human rights grounds but lost the case.

The 44-year-old explained that his flashy lifestyle is meant to inspire young people to believe in legitimate ways of making money. He said, “I live with my partner, Mary Olubukola Alade, who earns £100,000 per year working for AON. I spend my time working for the church, for which I am unpaid. I am entirely supported by Mary. I have a first-class law degree from Nigeria but have ‘sacrificed’ my legal career to help those who cannot help themselves.”

The court also heard that Adegboyega’s designer clothing and luxury cars are funded by Mary. He insisted that he has never taken a penny from the church, emphasising the importance of his appearance in inspiring young people to pursue legitimate income through avenues like entrepreneurship.
