The event, set to begin at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT, 20:00 Cairo time, 21:00 East Africa time), will celebrate exceptional performances in African football from the past year. Key figures in the sport will unite to honor the talent and diversity that define African football as a global powerhouse. The evening will be hosted by two renowned figures: Kate Scott, an acclaimed international sports journalist, and Jalal Bouzrara, a respected Moroccan media personality.

Kate Scott, a multilingual journalist fluent in English, French, Spanish, and German, has worked with top broadcasters like CNN, SkySports, and CBS Sports. She has hosted major global events such as the Laureus World Sports Awards and recently led CBS Sports’ coverage alongside Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards.

On her role as host, Scott expressed, “It will be a privilege to be on stage and in the same room as some of the most influential figures in football. African football gives soul to world football. The talent that emerges from this continent is immense, and the cultural diversity with which it is experienced makes African football one of the heartbeats of the global game.”

“This is the second time I have the honor and pleasure of hosting this magnificent CAF Awards ceremony,” Bouzrara said. “I am truly proud to participate in this celebration of the best of our continent. The nominees for this 2024 edition in Marrakech showcase the constant evolution of our football, with African stars shining all around the world.” Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Bouzrara also speaks Spanish and Portuguese, making him a versatile presence at international events.
