Former US President Donald Trump has announced plans to dismiss thousands of White House staff who he claims do not align with his “Make America Great Again” vision.
Trump made this declaration on his social media platform, Truth Social, where he also publicly terminated several senior officials in a bold and unprecedented move.
“Let this serve as Official Notice of Dismissal for these 4 individuals, with many more coming soon. José Andrés from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars, and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council—YOU’RE FIRED!”
General Mark Milley’s dismissal follows a controversial period during which Joe Biden, 82, reportedly granted protections to the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in his final days in office. Trump had previously suggested Milley deserved severe punishment.
Additionally, John Bass, the acting Undersecretary for Political Affairs, was among those asked to step down. His influence extended across key regions, including Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
In his post, Trump stated: “Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again.”
