Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has finally reached an agreement on personal terms with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
The Nigerian forward had previously pulled out of talks after his initial demand of €40 million per year was not met. However, fresh reports now reveal that Osimhen has accepted a revised deal worth €30 million annually over a four-year contract.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the agreement will see Osimhen earn approximately \$35 million (£29m/\$40m) including add-ons. While personal terms are now settled, Al Hilal has yet to finalise the transfer fee with Napoli.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Al Hilal’s top offer currently stands at €70 million (£59m/\$80m), while Napoli is holding out for €75 million (£63m/\$86m). Talks between the clubs are still ongoing.
Should Al Hilal complete the transfer before the mini-window closes on June 10, Osimhen would be eligible to feature in the FIFA Club World Cup.
This move comes as a significant setback for Turkish champions Galatasaray, who had hoped to keep Osimhen following his impressive loan spell, during which he scored 37 goals in 43 matches across all competitions.
