Former Nigerian international Austine Jay-Jay Okocha has advised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to make his next career move based on what is best for himself and his family.
Osimhen is currently weighing his options after rejecting a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal. The Napoli star is expected to leave the Italian club ahead of the 2025–26 season, with several top European teams reportedly interested.
Speaking with Sport 247, the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner made it clear that he prefers not to influence players’ decisions.
“The decision should be his. Whether it turns out well or not, he has to own it. I don’t believe in making choices for someone else’s future. He should do what’s best for him and his family,” Okocha said.
Osimhen’s future remains a major talking point, as fans and analysts continue to speculate on where the prolific forward will land next.
