Manchester United were once again left frustrated on Sunday as they played out a 1-1 draw with Fulham in their Premier League clash at Craven Cottage.
Bruno Fernandes missed a golden opportunity to put United ahead in the 38th minute, blasting his penalty over the bar.
United eventually broke the deadlock in the 58th minute when Leny Yoro’s header from a corner deflected off Rodrigo Muniz and crossed the line for an own goal.
Fulham, who had been second best for much of the first half, responded with greater intensity after the break. Their persistence was rewarded in the 73rd minute when substitute Emile Rowe latched onto an Alex Iwobi pass and slotted home the equaliser.
The hosts pushed for a winner in the closing stages but were unable to convert their chances, while United failed to regain control of the game.
The result leaves both sides still searching for consistency early in the season, with Erik ten Hag’s men yet to secure their first league victory of the campaign.
