Mohbad’s father buried him before he died; the late singer’s mother alleges

by Admin

Abosede, the grieving mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known by his stage name Mohbad, has come forward with startling allegations against her former husband, Joseph. In an exclusive interview with Saturday PUNCH titled “Uncensored: Mohbad’s mother opens up on late son, ex-husband, Naira Marley,” Abosede bravely disclosed her tumultuous journey following the tragic loss of her beloved son.

Recalling the days leading up to Mohbad’s untimely demise, Abosede revealed that she had been staying at Joseph’s residence for a duration of ten days, completely unaware of the impending tragedy that would befall her family. It was only upon hearing the devastating news of Mohbad’s passing that she rushed back to the house, hoping to gather her shattered family together in their time of grief.

However, amidst her anguish, Abosede was met with further heartbreak as Joseph, her estranged husband, allegedly made decisions without her consent. Despite her desperate attempts to reconcile and bring solace to their fractured family unit, Joseph’s actions only served to deepen the chasm between them.

Abosede expressed her profound disbelief and sorrow, firmly believing that Mohbad had still been clinging to life when he was hastily laid to rest. She lamented the missed opportunity to intervene and prevent the premature burial of her beloved son, a decision that continues to haunt her to this day.

In contrast, Joseph defended the swift burial, citing longstanding Yoruba cultural traditions that dictate immediate interment, particularly when both parents are still alive. He explained that the land where Mohbad was laid to rest had been gifted to him by Mohbad himself, with intentions of building a church. Joseph emphasized that the decision to proceed with the burial expeditiously was rooted in reverence for these cultural customs.

As the community grappled with the loss of Mohbad, the circumstances surrounding his passing remained shrouded in mystery. The Lagos State Police Command launched an investigation to uncover the truth, ultimately leading to the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains for a thorough autopsy.

Amidst the swirling emotions and unanswered questions, Abosede and Joseph find themselves locked in a painful struggle to come to terms with their shared loss and the divergent paths that have led them to this moment of reckoning.
