‘Mohbad’s Father Demanded Quick Burial Following Davido’s N2m Donation,’ PA Tells Court

by Admin

Adeyemo Boluwatife, Mohbad’s personal assistant, testified at the coroner’s inquest in Ikorodu on Wednesday that Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, insisted on an immediate burial after receiving N2 million from Davido.

The inquest, initiated by the Lagos State Government on September 29, 2023, aims to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death. Mohbad, who died under questionable circumstances on September 12, 2023, was buried the following day.

In response to national calls for justice, Mohbad’s body was exhumed on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

During the court session, Adeyemo, also Mohbad’s nephew, stated that Aloba was adamant about proceeding with the burial immediately after receiving the donation. Adeyemo revealed that he transferred N1 million to Aloba and later gave the remaining amount to Adura, Mohbad’s younger brother, after covering hospital bills and ambulance rental fees. He also noted that investigators took custody of the deceased’s phone after Mohbad’s death.
