Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has completed a permanent move to Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in August 2022 and went on to make 32 first-team appearances, scoring twice during his spell at Stamford Bridge, according to the club’s official website.
Last season, Chukwuemeka featured five times for the Blues, with his final appearance coming in the UEFA Conference League win over Astana. He later spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Dortmund, where he played 17 matches, including four at the Club World Cup, helping Chelsea secure the title.
Chelsea, in their statement, expressed gratitude for his contributions: “We want to thank Carney for his efforts and wish him well for the future.”
