Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has pointed out two key attributes that define Paris Saint-Germain under the leadership of Luis Enrique, as both teams prepare to face off in the FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday night in the United States.
Speaking during his pre-match interview, Maresca acknowledged PSG’s quality and praised their tactical approach, especially their ability to control possession and apply high pressing.
“For sure, PSG and their manager are a reference for all people that love football,” Maresca said.
He added, “At the same time, we have our own style, and we’ve shown throughout the season how we want to play—both on and off the ball. They’re a team that likes to keep the ball, and so do we. They also press high, which is something we also aim to do.”
Both Chelsea and PSG booked their places in the final after defeating Fluminense in their respective semi-final matches.
