Serie A giants Juventus are preparing a substantial offer in the region of €85m to convince Napoli to sell Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window, despite Napoli’s efforts to block a move to their league rivals.
Napoli are reportedly determined to prevent Osimhen from joining another Serie A side by enforcing a clause that restricts Italian clubs from activating his standard release clause.
Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he has excelled in the 2024/25 season following a failed permanent move away from Napoli last summer. The Nigerian striker has scored 33 goals in 37 matches across all competitions, including 24 goals and five assists in 27 league games.
His loan spell will end this season, and he is expected to be sold. The €75m release clause in his contract becomes active this summer, but it is only valid for clubs outside Italy. As a result, Juventus are reportedly ready to exceed that figure in hopes of securing his transfer.
Osimhen has attracted interest from several clubs in Europe and Asia, though his salary expectations—around €11m per season—have proven a challenge for teams like Manchester United and Chelsea.
Football Italia reports that Juventus still face a tough battle to beat competition from clubs such as Al-Hilal, who, according to Corriere dello Sport, are prepared to trigger the €75m clause and offer a ‘pharaonic’ deal worth up to €35m per season—something Juventus and most European clubs may struggle to match.
