Kizz Daniel denies reports of court order freezing his bank accounts

by Admin

Nigerian music star Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, has dismissed reports alleging that a court ordered the freezing of his personal and business bank accounts over a contractual dispute.

The viral claim, which circulated on social media, suggested that the Buga crooner was fined €200,000 for allegedly failing to perform at a show despite receiving a $50,000 advance, and that his Access Bank accounts had been frozen.

In a statement issued on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Kizz Daniel’s management labelled the report “false, misleading, and a calculated attempt to damage his reputation.”

“Kizz Daniel has no such case in court, and no accounts have been frozen. We urge fans, partners, and the public to disregard this fabricated story,” the statement read in part.

The singer’s team further disclosed that legal action will be taken against those spreading the rumour, while stressing that Kizz Daniel remains fully focused on his music and upcoming performances.

They also pointed out that this is not the first time the artist has been targeted by false stories. According to them, during Afrobeats Meets Berlin 2022, the event promoter used Kizz Daniel’s name, image, and likeness, along with other artists’, to promote a festival that never took place.

The statement clarified that Kizz Daniel was prepared to perform, but the promoter “failed to meet his own obligations.”
