Nigerian music star Terry Apala has explained why he would never allow his partner to attend a public gym.
In a recent interview with Echo Room, hosted by reality TV star Teddy A, the *Apala Disco* crooner claimed that many women visit gyms not primarily to exercise but to create videos and attract men.
“I will not allow my partner to go to the gym. I was a member of iFitness VGC, so I’ve seen what happens there. Most ladies nowadays just go to vibe and make videos instead of actually working out,” he said.
Terry further argued that the atmosphere in gyms often encourages flirtation rather than fitness. “If they really wanted to work out, they wouldn’t be focused on doing videos. Many of them are there to seduce men, and some men also go there to hunt for women. I’m speaking from experience,” he added.
The singer recalled his time at another gym in Megamound Estate, where he claimed to have witnessed similar behaviour. According to him, only a few women genuinely work out, while many simply attend for fun and social interactions.
