Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed that teenage forward Lamine Yamal is fully ready to return to action in their upcoming La Liga fixture after enjoying a two-week break during the international window.
According to Fabrizio Romano on Friday, Flick said, “I think Lamine Yamal is ready for tomorrow. He’s been working very well, and I’m pleased with that. I think it was good for him to rest from games these past two weeks.”
The short break has helped Yamal recover physically and mentally, with Flick noting the impressive level he has shown in training. His return arrives at a key moment as Barcelona prepare for an important run of matches in La Liga and other competitions.
Flick also provided updates on the squad. Raphinha is back to full fitness but will begin the match on the bench as the staff carefully manage his minutes. Pedri, meanwhile, is progressing in his recovery, though it remains uncertain whether he will be available for Barcelona’s upcoming clash with Chelsea.
“These past weeks have been important for players to recover and prepare,” Flick noted. “Managing minutes and ensuring everyone is in the right condition is crucial as we move into a very busy period.”
With Yamal back and Raphinha nearing full sharpness, Barcelona are hopeful of maintaining momentum while navigating a challenging fixture schedule, including key Champions League encounters.
