Rapper Cardi B addresses rumours of being an industry plant meant to replace Nicki Minaj.

by Admin

Cardi B has dismissed a long-running rumour claiming she was brought into the music industry as part of a plot to replace Nicki Minaj at the top of hip hop.

In an interview on Wednesday’s episode of Call Her Daddy, the Grammy-winning rapper said she was “destined” for fame and success, making it clear that no one signed her to take down another artist. Although she avoided naming Nicki directly, her comments were clearly aimed at the speculation that has trailed her career for years.

The theory gained traction after a leaked clip of Ye suggested Cardi was “a plant by the Illuminati” created to replace Minaj. Since then, the claim has spread widely among fans, often fuelling talk of a rivalry between the two stars.

Addressing the perception of ongoing tension, Cardi said that not all conflicts in the industry are driven by hidden agendas. “Sometimes people just don’t get along with each other,” she explained, adding that differences should not always be seen as attempts to sabotage another artist.

Her feud with Nicki Minaj has been highly publicised, most notably during New York Fashion Week in 2018 when a confrontation escalated into a physical altercation that saw Cardi throw a shoe at Minaj.
