Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes Victor Osimhen could be holding out for a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Ferdinand shared his thoughts after reports emerged that the Super Eagles striker had rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, leaving the door open for a potential switch to the Premier League or staying at Galatasaray.
Speaking on his Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, the former England international urged Manchester United to prioritise signing Osimhen.
“They already know who I want — Osimhen,” Ferdinand said. “It looks like he’s turned down Al Hilal. He must be waiting for Manchester United.
“I don’t know if United will go for him, but if they don’t get him, then Gyökeres — I’ll take him.”
Osimhen, who had a standout season with Galatasaray, remains one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers in this summer’s transfer window.
