Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Thursday that Israel is “changing the face of the world” through its ongoing war with Iran, as he expressed openness to “all help” in dismantling the Islamic Republic’s nuclear infrastructure.
Speaking to public broadcaster Kan, Netanyahu stated, “I said that we’re changing the face of the Middle East, and now I say we’re changing the face of the world.”
Now seven days into the conflict, he claimed Israeli forces are ahead of schedule in targeting Iranian nuclear and missile facilities. However, he declined to specify how long the operation might last.
“We are at war. I’m not going to reveal our timeline. I’m not going to tell them \[the Iranians] what we’re preparing,” Netanyahu said. “When you enter a war, you know when it begins, but not when it ends.”
He asserted that Israeli strikes have already taken out “more than half” of Iran’s missile launchers and insisted Israel has the capability to hit “all of Iran’s nuclear facilities.”
In a nod to the United States, Netanyahu added, “All help is welcome.”
He also commented on the U.S. position, saying, “President Trump will do what is good for the United States, and I will do what is good for the State of Israel.”
Shortly after Netanyahu’s remarks, former President Donald Trump stated he would make a decision within the next two weeks on whether to launch a U.S. strike on Iran, citing a “substantial” possibility for negotiations.
