The Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced on Wednesday a N65 reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, bringing the price down from N890 to N825 per litre. The new price takes effect on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
According to the refinery, this adjustment aims to ease financial pressure on Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season while supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery efforts.
A statement from Dangote Petroleum Refinery highlighted that this is the second petrol price reduction in February 2025, following an earlier N60 decrease. The refinery has consistently lowered prices on petrol and other refined products to benefit Nigerians.
With the latest reduction, Dangote petrol will be available at the following prices across partner retail outlets:
- MRS Holdings stations in Lagos: N860 per litre
- South-West: N870 per litre
- North: N880 per litre
- South-South and South-East: N890 per litre
This follows a previous price cut in December 2024, when the refinery reduced the cost of PMS by N70.50, from N970 to N899.50 per litre.
