Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, believes Ousmane Dembélé fully deserves to win this year’s Ballon d’Or, insisting the French forward has done everything required to earn the prestigious title.
Al-Khelaifi warned that if Dembélé doesn’t win, then there’s a serious “problem” with how the award is decided.
Dembélé played a pivotal role in PSG’s historic treble-winning season, helping the club secure the Champions League, Ligue 1, and Coupe de France titles. While he faces tough competition from Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal, Al-Khelaifi remains firm in his stance.
“Ousmane’s season has been magnificent,” he told DAZN. “If he doesn’t win the Ballon d’Or, then something is wrong. He’s done everything.”
